Our next board meeting is scheduled for this coming Monday 6 July, starting at 7.00pm. As normal during lockdown, it’s going to be a virtual meeting over the internet, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t welcome guests who want to sit in and hear more about what we’re currently up to. If you’d like to listen in, please email us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you login details when they are ready.
Alyth Community Council, with the help of SSE’s Drumderg Windfarm, is offering local Groups or Associations financial assistance with micro-grants up to the value of £500. The grants are for community projects that enhance the quality of life in Alyth.
The SSE have laid down some limitations on which types of funding can be awarded but these are not too onerous. Projects outside the Drumderg area or contrary to SSE’s interests aren’t eligible, nor is any project with a political or religious aspect nor which involves firearms or is intended to cover direct energy costs. You can’t apply for projects that have already been completed either, nor for work that should be done by statutory authorities.
For an application form and the full terms and conditions, apply to any member of Alyth Community Council including Iain Donaldson Tel: 01828 632479.

We want to help local groups and businesses get back on their feet as we come slowly out of lockdown. So we’re building a new community website called Alyth Online which we hope will become a hub for showing the world what’s available in and around our town. You’ll be able to list your group or business on the site and include a link to your own website/media channel to help you tell the world about what you have to offer. If you’d like to know more and be among the first to be listed when the site goes live, get in touch via Facebook, or email, or via the “Contact Us” link at top right.
The minutes of our meetings in March, April and May are now available online: https://www.lovealyth.org.uk/about-alyth-development-trust/company-information/
